Fast Food Poutine: A-ampersand-W

(Note: the title looks like that because "&" isn't allowed in the box... lame)

Herro!! I hope you guys are ready for some greasy good because A&W put out their wonderful new coupons and they included (OMG) POUTINE! My friend had some bad news, so we staged a kidnapping and snoped her right out from coffee with her mother ;)

As you can see, it came in that generic fast food container but dude, this is one of the better ones! The gravy is amazing! It tasted like it could be chicken gravy, and the cheese curds were the real thing (I got so sick after - I'm lactose intolerant, it's how I tell xP). Somehow, the fries even stayed crispy even after a bit of time soaking in that gravy! Me and my posse were totally impressed... Check us out ;)

$5 coupon ;)

What's your favourite fast food poutine? What should I try next?

Swatch: WingDust Collections Fly Me To The Moon!

GLITTER! You all know we love glitter on le Blahg, and a while back I made an order to a fantastic indie called WingDust Collections. I've had this one sitting around and finally it just seemed RIGHT. Here is Fly Me To The Moon over Sinful Colors Polar Opposites!

I love this combo! There's tiny blue and black glitter, with varying sizes of white and black mixed in too, and over top of SCPO it reminds me of space and white noise or static. I really really like it!! It's fitting on its name too =) To make sure I got some of the bigger pieces I gave it a good stir before I swished on (no dabbing!).

Have you guys got any WingDust yet? I think I have a code still! For 15% off your order, use BLAHG15 and tell Stephanie I said hi!! <3

Swatch: Sinful Colors Polar Opposites

Hi guys! I'm always surprised when I manage to post every day but my nail polish always gets picked off within a day or two, so I'm not sure why I even wonder anymore. It means you guys get more of me (hurrah!/sorry<3) and today I have a magnetic from the Kelly package!

Sinful Colors Polar Opposites is a metallic slate grey with tiny little blue twinklies in it. I have below for you, one coat.

I did say magnetic didn't I? I did one more coat (too thick!!) one nail at a time and held the magnet real close. It took two seconds for the image to appear!

The magnet was really strong so I would recommend doing thinner coats and not obsessing over getting as close as possible. Because I did really thick coats, you can see the middle finger sagged a bit, so don't underestimate like I did. Other than that I found it really interesting that the magnet seemed to organize the magnetic and the glitter, excluding the glitter from the star, giving it a really cool effect and making the twinkly more noticeable. At angles, it even turns from blue to purple!

I really liked the effect! I have two more of these from Kelly as well, (be sure to check her out!) so look forward to them~

Did you guys pick up any Sinful magnetics way back when? How about others? Tell me stuff!

Swatch: Rainbow Honey My Love

Of course I couldn't leave that bright pink alone! The main reason I made that huuuge order to Rainbow Honey way back when was there was a deal where if you spent $50, you got a free gift! HEART GLITTER. There were two, and I chose My Love. It is PACKED. The photos below are one coat swiped and then I dug and dabbed for the hearts. I didn't have to work very hard, but you do have to be looking for them to get them out. Check it! (Obviously, over Revlon Strawberry Electric.)

I wanted a bit more than this so I took up my acrylic paints and did something similar to what I'd done before here.

All tied up in a neat little bow =) Sometimes, simple is better. I hope this one stays for a bit before chipping but to be honest, it's pretty lumpy after a coat of Seche. I'll keep you posted!

What do you think?

Swatch: Revlon Strawberry Electric

I'm really not feeling the darks and the greys, y'know? I've been wearing that yellow rose dress for so long it's starting to rub off. Today is PINK. As the title says, Revlon Strawberry Electric and this is EXACTLY the perfect name. I did three coats, but it only requires two =)

Hey, what's your favourite pink?

Let It Snow #12: Winter Wonderland

Hello again everyone! I have to say I wasn't really feeling this one. Where I am, winter's pretty much over, especially if there's no snow in February. Maybe we'll get some later, but other than that, it just turns grey in Vancouver and rains. We had a couple sunny days in there, but mostly just greyness...

Starting with Golden Rose 187, I added Essie Pure Pearlfection over it. (Have I mentioned how much I love this polish??)

Sorry for the fuzzy cameraness... I couldn't get rid of it. #weird

I then picked up China Glaze Make A Spectacle (courtesy of Kelly!! SHE IS AMAZING!). This glitter is also amazing, I'm so glad I own it.

LIFE IS SO SPARKLY! At this point, I should have left it alone, but I needed to make it art SOMEHOW, and even then it wasn't that great... Okay, rambling. So the only way I enjoy snow is if I am inside with my hot chocolate and it is very much outside. I used acrylic paint ps.

So it's not my favourite, especially since my lines are not smooth AT ALL... but it does look kinda cool from a distance. My nails look so shapely... Anyway, it's supposed to be like looking out a window at the snow falling.

... Now leave me in my shame and go look at everyone else's awesome nails xP

Food: Sushitown

I tried a new Japanese place last weekend with some lovely company that I wanted to tell you guys about today! The restaurant itself is huuuuge and seating is nice. Service was good for the most part and it was very very busy - I got the impression that was quite normal.

I'm basically just going to show you some food and recommend it. My staple for Japanese food when I'm feeling the sushi is Kappa and Salmon Maki, and then I get one more roll and sometimes gyoza or something. Recently, my friend had me try Spicy Agedashi Tofu, so I ordered some of that here while my friend ordered gyoza and we shared. I'm not usually a fan of spicy so I asked for it on the side.

I much prefer non-spicy, though my friend spiced up the rest of her meal (which you can see on the edge here).

My third roll was a Chicken Teriyaki Roll which I had never tried before. I'm glad I did because it's delicious!

So as you can see, I was eating quite normally before disaster struck. =) I couldn't even wait to start on the rolls before I took the picture xD What's the best Japanese food you've ever had?

Swatch: Golden Rose 187

Hi all! I have FINALLY gotten around to swatching this colour, and I have definitely been sitting on it for a while (since last May, it's from Istanbul!). Golden Rose 187 is a gorgeous grey creme. It's a little on the thick side but it works out nicely. When I've used it before as well, it seems to peel off in rubbery chunks, though I haven't actually used it as a base so that may have been the other colours. I did two coats here, one thin, then thick. Good coverage, and a little pooling at the tips...

It's pretty, right? =D Do you like grey?

The Pokemon Nail Challenge Week 4: BUG

Hi all! I fell behind last week for obvious reasons so I'm gonna be trying to catch up on my two challenges. This week, it's bugs and man, they are bursts of colour! I wanted to do something a little different from everyone else and we have some good representation for the buggers, which is pretty impressive!

For me, I wanted something simple since I'm not up for much lately so I started with that gorgeous red, China Glaze Winter Berry. For the rest, I used acrylic paints. Because I know I'm rambling, I'm going to mostly just show you pics <3

(Bad pics apparently... ==) PS, the next one looks like Satan's underpants xP
 And  then DOTS.

It always weirded me out that Parasect has no pupils... Anyway, check out the rest! They're fantastic! I especially love the Caterpies <3

Swatch: Rainbow Honey Be Mine

When I got home on Friday night, I had a huuuuuge package waiting for me!

Some of these are for me, some are for friends and some are for prizes when I hit 100 which I hope is soon!

So I had some trouble deciding on where to start but I settled on what would best match what I'm gonna be wearing for the next little while. It's about the only outfit that doesn't cinch around the middle...

Be Mine is a creamy pink that reminds me of a strawberry smoothie. There's a hard to capture shimmer that is much more prominent than any photos have shown and that's really all I have to tell you. Enjoy the picspam <3

I tried matting it, but it looked lumpy. I dunno what to blame for that, but I Seched it after to restore shine.

This is my favourite photo. The sun came out this morning and I snapped =)

What do you guys think? Did you get any of the Sweet Talk Collection? I highly recommend <3
