Pokemon Challenge Part 1

So I'm not sure how much you guys know about me but for one thing, I really like Pokemon. My boyfriend bought me Black2 for Christmas which, regardless of Te-Fucking-Pig, is actually a really good game!

Turns out I'm not the only one who has this combination of interests (Pokemon and nails!) though, and me and Nichole from Adventures of the Nail Friends cooked up something AWESOME. Drumroll please...

TADAAAA! Once a week, we're gonna do a manicure inspired by a Pokemon of the type listed, restricted to Generation 1 Pokemon only - that means the super-loved original 151. In the future, we're hoping to move on to future generations. I think it's a great opportunity for us hardcore original-timers to get some exposure to the more current creatures =)

To commemorate this great undertaking, Nichole and I did Pokeball nails! BEHOLD!

I started with the red Elianto from yesterday and stroked some Ulta Snow White on the tip half of my nail.

To match the fancy on the top, I put some Essie Pure Pearlfection over that (bottom half only).
From there, I used my black LA Colors striper and made a straight line, covering up my jaggedy white edge.

I took my dotting tool and dotted black in the middle, then a smaller white dot in the middle of that.

After cleanup!

I've been a Pokemon fan since I was 9 years old (1998). Pikachu was my favourite, and when my mom was in Portland for treatment, she picked me up some awesome <3

As a preliminary roll call, add your blog below <3 Feel free to commemorate your great undertaking by doing some pokeball nails of your own (or not!)! (Pokeballs only though, we have plans for Great/Ultra/etc balls.) Also, join the Facebook Group to pick up the inlinkz code for your own blog! Let's trade some traffic =D
